About Yaya (Mr. Suriyan Channam)
As a young man brought up in a very humble world in Thailand, Yaya (Mr. Suriyan Channam) started training in Muay Thai Boxing at the early age of 7 years old. He competed in his first Muay Thai competition and 8 years old and found his winning spirit at a young age. Inspired and guided by his father who was also a Muay Thai fighter, Yaya was inspired to train hard and found through his dedication was winning on a regular bases.
Growing up in a family of 12 siblings and being the youngest, Yaya lived in Krabi Thailand and developed his Muay Thai skills as a way to earn money through competitions to pay for his school and basic needs.
At the age of 15 Yaya moved to Bangkok to live with monks in a Buddhist Temple (Watt) to continue his young vocation as a successful Muay Thai fighter. From this environment and through years of vigorous training, Yaya continued to win and fight to be able to fund his education and basic needs.
